Tomintoul 33 years old Special Reserve single malt is the oldest expression to have been bottled by the distillery to date.
Colour: Golden Nose: Hints of toffee and rum with cedary-wood tones and a touch of fruity maltiness Palate: Round and soft with some sweetness and fruit and a suggestion of cinnamon and vanilla Finish: Mature and elegant Duncan Baldwin, Brand Development Director commented: “A very special jewel has won Best Speyside Single Malt Whisky, World Whiskies Awards 2010. This flagship in the Tomintoul range is richly deserving of such a prestigious award.” Baldwin added: “The hints of toffee and rum with cedary wood tones and a touch of fruity maltiness can not fail to entice the nose of the Speyside enthusiast. The round, soft, fruity-sweet palate with a suggestion of cinnamon and vanilla complete a majestically mature and elegant whisky.” Tomintoul Distillery is beautifully located near to the village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland in the prestigious Glenlivet Estate at the heart of the Speyside region. The company launched the 33 Years Old expression in the second half of 2009. The Tomintoul range now consists of seven expressions: Peaty Tang; 10 and 16 years old; 12 years old finished in Oloroso Sherry casks; 14 years old at 46% vol; 1976 Vintage and the 33 years old.
