Just completed a mega tour round all of our retail whisky and cigar stores, haven’t done so in a while as I’m generally based at our London offices and hang out at our London, West Hampstead Robert Graham shop as it has a comfortable outdoor smoking area as well as a good range of whisky for sampling J First stop was Global Whisky Shop in West Nile Street, Glasgow. For a small shop it has to have the best range of Havana cigars in the walk in humidor for miles around. regular production Havana’s, UK exclusive regional editions and limited editions. By the stick and by the box. And if there is anything that’s not in store, our very able manageress Linda can get it in for customers within 24 hours. As well as the fabulous range of Robert Graham independent bottling single malts in our Glasgow shop, Linda ensures that she has an ever changing range of single malts from £25- £1000 and just about everything in between. Linda has a fantastic knowledge on Scotch Whisky and is always happy to chat with her customers to find them the perfect malt to suit their needs The shop seems to be constantly evolving and improving with a very successful recent addition of a good range of pipe tobaccos as well as Petersons, Meerschaum and budget pipes. It also has a great range of Christmas Havana gift boxes and crackers, whisky gift boxes and stocking fillers. Next stop was our gorgeous whisky and cigar shop on Rose street, managed by Joanna who is as enthusiastic about whisky as she is about cigars, my day is such a pleasure when working with such a great team. The Rose street humidor is probably the largest walk in humidor in Scotland with a massive range of Havana by the stick and by the box. The shop has a great selection of wines too in all price ranges and a comprehensive range of single malt, pipes and pipe tobaccos, humidors cutters and lighters. I’d like to say it’s the best place in Edinburgh but we also have our ‘Treasurer ‘ shop in Canongate which also has a walk in humidor with a great range! Andreas takes care of business at the Treasurer and as well as having all of the single malt whisky, cigars and tobaccos one could ever want he also has an enormous range of the finest handmade chocolate. I think I want to be locked in to the Treasurer for a few days J Andreas tells me that he about to serve mulled wine for the Christmas season and he’s enjoying holding regular wine and whisky tastings. Drop him a line for an invite Canongate@robertgraham1874.com My co – Director Ron Morrison and I puffed our way through a couple of the new Ramon Allones- Allones Extra limited editions paired up with Glendullan Ghost exclusive to Robert Graham Ltd of course. Needless to say it was a perfect match and highly recommended If you’re looking for advice for the perfect Christmas gifts drop me a line as we have something to suit everyone and everyone’s budget and we’d be delighted to advise and gift wrap too J online 24/7 every day of the year : London@robertgraham1874.com Slanj Mitchell |
