Two miles south of Dingwall on the island of Orkney near the head of Scapa Bay this distillery has been producing whisky since 1885. Being a fairly recent distillery it was regarded in its time as being the most modern in the country. Things change slowly in distilleries and the produce is now as traditional as any other. Gold, soft, light and smooth. Clean, salty and nutty flavour, with a hint of vanilla. The alternative Orkney malt to Highland Park £35.99
