McCaigs Folly dominates the town of Oban, this structure is built in the likeness of ancient Greek architecture. The distillery nestles below this famous landmark in the town centre. The water which produces the whisky however comes from two small lochans near the hamlet of Ardconnel which is about 1 mile from Oban itself. Mouthfilling late autumn fruits, dried figs and honey sweet spices; followed by a smokey malty dryness. Long smooth, sweet finish, oak wood, dryness and a grain of salt.
