Glenmorangie for Collectors Glenmorangie has launched the first in an annual series of limited release Scotch whiskies under the name "Private Collection". The Sonnalta PX takes the first part of its name from the Gaelic word "generous" and the second from the Pedro Ximinez sherry casks in which this whisky is given its final maturation. Glengoyne Food and Whisky Break Glengoyne distillery has teamed up with the Monachyle Hotel in Perthshire to host a fabulous 2 night package. This includes a seasonal cookery demonstration, a master blender session at the Glengoyne distillery, a mobile tutored nosing tour through the scenic Trossachs and a chance to taste Glengoyne 40 year old single malt Scotch whisky. Earl Magnus Edition 1 (52.6%abv) celebrates the life of 11th century ruler of Orkney, Earl Magnus, who was murdered and later canonised and had a nearby cathedral named after him. This single island malt is described as "big on flavour and aroma which is succinct and distinguished in taste".
