On visiting our Canongate shop for the first time, customers always voice their surprise at just how many indulgent delights are available, the selection can be overwhelming at first and always accompanied by the 'kid in a sweet shop' sense that there is too much to choose from! Being a new staff member at Robert Graham is no different, at first it feels as though there must be too much to learn and that without a PhD in Single Malts, it will be tricky to help customers find exactly the right whisky for them. But, like bagging Munros, the trick is to take one step at a time. In this spirit (excuse the pun), the new staff at the Edinburgh Canongate store are keeping a diary of our progress as we finely hone our knowledge of rare whiskies, renowned rums, and the finest Cuban cigars. So join us as we hone our knowledge of specialties from the Highlands and Islands, Cuba and beyond. We’ll be jotting down our thoughts on the products we stock and our experiences assisting customers - from aficionados to apprentices, we hope there will be some interesting anecdotes to enjoy over a dram. |
