About Linda
Hello, my name is Linda Marks
and I currently manage Robert Graham's Global Whisky Shop in Glasgow.
I fell into the whisky business
by chance, having spent 30 years in banking before “seeing the light” .
Prior to joining Robert Graham in
2007, I was involved in the initial set up and management of the
Globalwhiskyshop business, winning
runner up at “Winners on the Web” competition for innovative web based
companies. Two years later, the store at West Nile Street
opened, bringing a huge
range of malt whiskies to Glasgow
, and offering shipping throughout the
world. A loyal customer base was established, with regulars from Alaska
to New Caledonia
in the Pacific.
I particularly enjoy the
opportunity to “educate” customers who are not familiar with drinking whisky,
and hopefully convert them to the pleasures of fine malt. Many have become good
friends and it’s wonderful to share their new found enthusiasm for the water of
life. I also regularly host whisky
tasting events for corporate clients as well as informal tastings in the
Glasgow
shop.
In joining Robert Graham Ltd, I
faced a new and exciting challenge with the introduction of the world’s finest cigars to our product
range . My entry to the world of Cuban cigars has been most enjoyable and I am
delighted to be able to offer the best selection of cigars anywhere in Glasgow and the west of Scotland
